Marby Lee for Morgan Hill City Council

Marby's Vision

Why I'm running for Morgan Hill City Council,

Fiscal Responsibility
  • Balance the City Budget: Put basic services, such as police & fire, before recreation. Determine the costs for maintenance and operations on new projects before approving and building them.
  • Responsible Management of the RDA: Use RDA funds to provide incentives for businesses to come to Morgan Hill, by offsetting impact fees, funding EIR’s, or defraying the costs of establishing Planned Unit Developments. Furthermore, the success of the RDA to the present and the projects it has undertaken need to be studied prior to any expansion of the RDA is considered. Redevelopment Agency funds should no longer be used to construct facilities which rely on money out of the General Fund for maintenance and operations.

Downtown Revitalization
  • Bring a Unique and Compelling Mix of Businesses to the Downtown
  • Refresh the Look of Older Buildings

Public Safety
  • Increase the Number of Police Officers on the Street - A Top Priority: We need to put more police officers on our streets — we have a lower ratio of officers to population than nearby cities such as Gilroy, and as our city continues to grow, we need to ensure that Morgan Hill remains a safe place to live.

Common Sense Leadership
  • Decisions in the best interest of Morgan Hill
